By accessing or using maplegun.ca (the "Site") you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. What MapleGun Is

MapleGun is a price comparison and search engine for Canadian firearms, ammunition, and accessories. We aggregate publicly available pricing from licensed Canadian retailers and display it in one searchable index.

MapleGun is not a firearms dealer, retailer, broker, or marketplace. We do not sell, ship, transfer, or facilitate the transfer of any firearm, ammunition, or accessory. All transactions occur exclusively between you and the retailer on the retailer's website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Site. For restricted firearms and certain ammunition, you must also hold the appropriate federal licence as required by Canadian law. By using this Site, you represent and warrant that you meet all applicable legal requirements.

MapleGun does not verify your age or licensing status. Verification is the responsibility of the retailer at the time of purchase.

3. Canadian Firearms Law — Your Obligations

Canada's Firearms Act and Criminal Code impose strict requirements on the acquisition, possession, storage, and transport of firearms. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws, including but not limited to:

• Holding a valid Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) before acquiring any firearm.
• Holding a Restricted PAL (RPAL) for restricted firearms, and complying with all additional requirements for restricted and prohibited firearms.
• Complying with provincial and territorial regulations, which may impose additional restrictions beyond federal law.
• Following all safe storage and transportation requirements under the Storage, Display, Transportation and Handling of Firearms by Individuals Regulations.
• Ensuring that any firearm acquired is not prohibited from civilian ownership under the Criminal Code.

If you are unsure of your legal obligations, consult your provincial Chief Firearms Officer (CFO), a qualified firearms safety instructor, or legal counsel before making any purchase.

4. Accuracy of Information

MapleGun aggregates pricing and availability data from retailer websites on an automated basis. We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Prices, stock levels, and product descriptions may have changed since we last indexed a retailer's site.

Always verify price and availability directly on the retailer's website before making a purchase decision.

5. No Endorsement of Retailers

The appearance of a retailer on MapleGun does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or verification of that retailer's licences, business practices, products, or services. We do not verify that any listed retailer holds a valid Firearms Business Licence or complies with applicable laws. You use retailer links at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MapleGun, its operators, contributors, and hosting providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
• Reliance on pricing, availability, or other data displayed on the Site.
• Any transaction conducted with a retailer linked from the Site.
• Your failure to comply with applicable firearms laws or regulations.
• Any injury, death, property damage, or criminal liability arising from the acquisition, possession, or use of any firearm or ammunition.
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind.

7. Intellectual Property

The MapleGun name, logo, and original site content are the property of MapleGun and may not be reproduced without permission. Product names, images, and descriptions displayed on the Site remain the property of the respective retailers or manufacturers.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site in bulk without written permission.
• Use the Site in violation of any Canadian law or regulation.
• Attempt to circumvent, damage, or interfere with the Site's infrastructure.
• Use the Site to facilitate an illegal transaction.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
